Historical Markers Of Texas

I have been working on an eBook of the Historical Markers of Texas. When it is finished, it will be a roadside companion guide to all of the historical markers in Texas.

Originally, I had intended for it to be one book with all the markers listed. But research has shown me that that would be nearly impossible and logistically cumbersome. So I have broken them down to 6 geographical regions, and I will release them in the following order. 1. South, 2. Central, 3. East, 4. North, 5. West, and 6. The Panhandle.

This is something I have wanted to do for well over 20 years. I remember back then driving by a marker and wanting to stop but I just didn’t have the time, or stopping and driving the rest of family crazy. But I was always curious as to what was on them. So I thought a nice book telling what was there would be a great idea.

I have been working a fevered pitch for the past several months, doing research, organizing them into a easily readable, and manageable format. My intent is to upload it to Kindle on Amazon, but I am also looking into posting it on other areas for easy downloading for a very reasonable price.
I will post something here when they are available. I am almost finished with the “South Texas” version and should be posting it within this month in honor of Texas Independence Day on April 21st.

Always,
Thirdcoast
